Volunteers working hard at Hilfield Wood

YRCT volunteers joined forces with the Dorset Council ranger team to make improvements to the Natural Flood Management features in Hilfield Wood. This included extending Flood Barrier Pathways and creating Check Dams on the highway grips. Hilfield Wood is right at the headwaters of the catchment. Putting in interventions here helps to improve the situation for flooding in the immediate locality as well as downstream in more populated areas such as Yeovil.
