Reporting an Environmental Concern
On this page, you can find helpful information to help you report a potential environmental concern to the correct organisation.

Water pollution
If you see what you believe to be pollution in water body, please contact the Environment Agency incident hotline on 0800 80 70 60. Please visit the Government website to see what other incidents should be reported to the Environment Agency.
Flooding and blocked drains
Flooding and blocked drains that are causing a hazard to public roads and walkways can be reported directly via this page on the Somerset Council website.
You can also make other local residents aware of flooding concerns in the local area by joining the Yeovil Flood Watch Facebook Group.
Fly tipping
You can report fly tipping directly via this page on the Somerset Council website.
Shopping trolley’s in water bodies can also be reported via the TrolleyWise website or their app.
Fallen Trees
A fallen or damaged tree that is a hazard or causing obstruction can be reported via this page on the Somerset Council website.
Wildlife casualties
If you have found wildlife that is injured in the South West, call Secret World Wildlife Rescue on 01278 78325, 8am – 8pm 365 days a year. Outside of these hours, your nearest veterinary surgery is obliged to help.

Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS)
You can report sightings of invasive plants, including Japanese Knotweed, Himalayan Knotweed, Himalayan Balsam and Giant Hogweed via this page on the Somerset Council Website.
