Thank you to everyone who joined us and stopped to chat at Foxglove Way on Wednesday. The team enjoyed a productive morning raking leaf debris and vegetation from the shallow scraps that were created back in 2021 in the Sustainable urban Drainage System (SuDS).
Clearing these scrapes will allow for water to continue collecting (as you can see in the photo) to maintain a damp area, ideal for the native marginal species we planted over the last two years. These species are doing a great job of enhancing the habitat diversity for local wildlife.
We were pleased to spot a few hardy marsh marigolds already appearing!
