Lyons Gate Natural Flood Management features

The team have been visiting Lion's Gate, Dorset, monitoring the Natural Flood Management features put in as part of YRCT's Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) work.

Pictured is a series of Flood Barrier Pathways.

These are built in known wet areas where there is a clear run off flow path from the land.

They help to slow the flow of water, trap sediment and reduce flood flows downstream
