On Saturday 11th March YRCT volunteers Kate, Anna, Emma and Isa braved the rain to take part in our quarterly invertebrate survey at Alvington Pond. Well done team!!
Species identified included freshwater shrimp, phantom midge larvae, stonefly larvae, water mites and alder fly larvae.
There is also a fantastic amount of frogspawn in the pond which is a good sign that the hibernaculum we installed back in 2021 is providing refuge for the resident frogs.
